Queens Park Rangers’ legendary former forward Stan Bowles has died at the age of 75. Bowles, who was capped five times at international level for England, enjoyed a 17-year playing career across the top divisions of English football. He was most closely associated with QPR, where he scored 70 league goals across over seven seasons at the west London club. Bowles joined QPR in 1972 and inherited the No 10 shirt vacated by fan favourite Rodney Marsh, but such was his success at Loftus Road that the shirt number became synonymous with his name.
